ABCSindi
Founded in November 2003, the Brazilian Association of Sindhi Breeders results from the union of a group of pioneer breeders, technicians, researchers and public institutions that believe in Pakistani red cattle as another option for Brazilian dairy breeding. The body's main objective is to promote, preserve and protect the breed, fomenting, expanding and intensifying its exploitation, in order to improve its economic viabilities.
Currently presided over by the researcher and breeder Paulo Roberto de Miranda Leite, ABCSindi works in partnership with breeders in selecting offspring from animals imported from Pakistan and India, from which they inherit hardiness, fertility and good milk production. It also works to show, especially to breeders from semi-arid regions of the world, the existence of excellent millennial genetic material for the sustainable close association and exploitation of cattle rearing based on the multifunction efficiency of the Sindhi.
One of the Association's targets is to encourage Research and Development institutions to select Sindhi to develop research into ecological milk and beef production, in pursuit of a double function cattle-rearing for the semi-arid region with biogenetic resources that comply as an expression of the environment itself.
